Operated by the Newmans Coach Lines, this Cadillac 353FF could seat 13 passengers. The bodywork was done by Crawley Ridley of Taranaki Street, Wellington who built many coach bodies for Newmans from the 1930s to the mid-1950s. For more, see our books.

Crawley Ridley & Co Ltd were in Taranaki Street opposite the end of Jessie St on the site now occupied by Briscoe's. How do I know? I'm the managing director.
The Cadillac service car in question, Newman Bros Ltd (South Island) No 7 has survived and is housed in the collection of the Crawley Ridley Museum Trust.
