Maputo railway station, Mozambique, 1960s

Maputo, formerly Lourenço Marques, is the capital and largest city of Mozambique. This shows its terminal railway station in Praça dos Trabalhadores dating from Portuguese colonial days in the early 20th century. Although it was created as a grand building with 11 platforms, there are few trains today. The cranes of the waterfront can be seen in the left background.
