small town decline - Lordsburg, New Mexico


This 1950s postcard view shows a reasonably bustling scene - and several great cars of the late 1940s/early 1950s.  The scene today is less busy.

It was founded as a Southern Pacific railway town around 1880 and the Union Pacific Railroad still goes through here: this street parallels it, the tracks are to the right.
