Norway - an unfortunate reminder that terrorists aren't confined to Muslims

It is said that to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction so it has been no surprise that anti-Islam feelings have taken off in Europe after the Muslim terrorist bombings on city transport in the last few years in London and Madrid which killed and maimed hundreds of people, the failed bombing attempts in France and Germany, as well as the assassination by Muslim gangsters of a Dutch filmmaker and the attempted assassination of a Danish cartoonist.

Now we have a psychopathic crusading reactionary who somehow thinks that behaving like a Muslim terrorist himself is going to attract supporters to his cause.

As bad as it was on Friday, it could have been worse: Mr Breivik could have instead targeted a mosque in Oslo, which more than likely would have resulted in a retaliatory Muslim terrorist attack. At least Norwegians have been spared that concern, for now.

The issues that Mr Breivik feels strongly about do have a legitimate basis - you only need to walk around any big city now in Western Europe to understand that, and unrestrained immigration in the last few years has seen Muslims in Norway reach 11% of the population - but his is most definitely not the way to go about things.  We just hope there will be no copycats.
